Help Forest Edge by Shopping, Clipping & Recycling
Grocery Store Rebate Programs!
Most of the local, large grocery store chains sponsor programs that donate money and supplies to local schools. Each year, these programs contribute several thousand dollars to our PTA and school funds.
To participate, you must be a member of their shoppers’ clubs and you must designate which schools (or schools) you would like receive credit for your purchases. Even if you have registered before, you must re-register every new school year!
The customer service desk at the stores can help you register, you can do it all online, or you can contact the program chair by email to register you. Simply click here to send the chair an email. Be sure to include your Giant and/or Harris Teeter card numbers. (You must register for the Safeway program yourself.)

Dollars for Scholars Program
This profitable program costs you no money and only a little time. You simply clip labels off special products and save your printer cartridges, then send them to school with your child in paper or plastic bags. That’s it! Here’s what we collect:
Box Tops for Education coupons from General Mills products. You’ll find them on
everything from Pillsbury, Huggies, Kleenex, Ziploc and many more. Click here for a complete list.
Labels for Education from Campbell’s, Pepperidge Farm, Prego products and
more. Just clip the part of the label containing the UPC code (bar code) and the program logo. For more details, click here.
Tyson’s Food Project A+ pays schools 24 cents per logo. Clip logos off the tops of Tyson’s bagged products or the sides of Tyson’s boxed products. For information on participating products, visit http://www.tyson.com/projectaplus/labels/products/default.asp
Inkjet and Laser Toner Printer Cartridges will be collected for recycling and reimbursement. Please send all ink cartridges to school or place them in the blue bin that sits outside of the PTA room. ![]()
This year we will be working with three online programs to recycle all brands of cartridges: Empties4Cash.com, TonerBuyer.com, and cartridgesforkids.com. Please visit these sites if you have any questions about how much they pay or want to see the kinds of cartridges they recycle.
If you have any questions, please contact the program chair, Lori Lefcourt at lalefcourt@comcast.net or 703-464-8561.
